WebNov 30, 2024 · In lilypond I have code for note head stencils which is highly refined and very specialised, to produce a different shaped notehead to the standard lilypond glyphs, in my case, to come closer to the handwriting style of the composer I work with. This is not just an alternate notehead style, but rather a delicate customisation of shape. WebAll the note stems pointed downwards, and the stems for Doe, Ray, and See were placed centrally on the shape, rather than to the side. These conventions were discarded by later users of his system, so as not to deviate so much from standard notation.
